A fortress is defined as a person or thing not susceptible to outside influence or disturbance. I’m a dancer and choreographer looking to create a fortress, a safe place to create and fellowship.
MISSION
Frtrss Dance Theatre engages communities with fellowship through immersive storytelling dances that point to eternity, assaults error with truth, and faithfully bring all things to all people in need
VISION
Frtrss Dance Theatre seeks to artistically nourish the unity amongst neighbors with dance, cultivate faith in communities by showing humility, and liberty, and expand the boundaries of our neighborhoods through charitable service and fellowship
VALUES
Community:
We will bury the border and bridge the gap between those who bash our beliefs. A bridge that goes both horizontal and vertical, branching out as far as the sunrise is to the sunset and as high as the aurora borealis of this world to the one in the neighboring universe.
Faithfully:
We will boldly broadcast and rebroadcast this to as many broken beings of the human race as we brush past with every breath we've been graced with.
Eternity:
We will be a beacon that points to the beauty in life that brings forth the calling that beckons us to belong to something beyond our world's boundaries. a calling that is belittled and beaten down by the buzz of this world, a calling in the midst of a battle between those who wish to burden, betray, and be rid of those who accept these blessings.
BELIEFS
spiritual:
Because of the importance of Christian fellowship, it is essential to distinguish biblical guidelines to govern our interactions with other professing believers. Frtrss Dance Theatre commits maintining unity over essential theological convictions including the inspiration of scripture, the holy trinity; father, son, & holy spirit, the deity of christ, the virgin birth of jesus, the resurrection, and salvation by grace through faith alone
artistic:
Frtrss Dance Theatre aims to create art that shows love and understanding to those holding different perspectives in areas that are not directly related to salvation or God’s identity, issues of moral or theological importance, and areas that are not absolutely clear in scripture due to nuances of language, cultural considerations, or challenges of interpretation.
communal:
Frtrss Dance Theatre seeks to expand the boundaries of our neighborhoods by serving with charity and fellowship and developing a degree of spiritual closeness that far surpasses the limitations of natural human friendships
